The story of Thottumkal Jewellers began in the heart of Central Travancore, with a vision to make fine jewellery accessible to generations of families in and around Pala.
Our journey dates back to 1650, when the foundation of this enduring enterprise was laid in Pala. What began as a humble initiative gradually grew into a trusted name, deeply connected with the community and the traditions of the region.
In the early years, Pala emerged as an important commercial hub. Goods and precious articles reached the town through the Meenachil River, which served as a significant route for transportation and trade. From Pala, these goods were distributed to surrounding areas, establishing the town as a vital centre of commerce.
It was against this vibrant trading backdrop that Thottumkal Jewellers began its journey. In its early days, the business operated on a modest scale before establishing its first showroom at Thottumkal Peedika, located beside the Kurishupally. This marked an important milestone in our journey from a small traditional enterprise to an established jewellery destination.
As the years passed, the business continued to grow along with the town and its people. In 1978, Thottumkal Jewellers moved from its original premises to its present location on the Main Road in Pala, marking a new chapter in its history and expanding its presence in the region.

Every BIS-hallmarked gold jewellery article carries a Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) number. This unique identification provides greater transparency and enables customers to verify the hallmark details of their jewellery.
Diamond Certifications
We offer certified diamonds with details relating to their quality and characteristics. Diamond certification provides customers with important information such as the diamond's cut, colour, clarity and carat weight, helping you make an informed purchase with confidence.
Purity Information
We believe in complete transparency when it comes to gold purity. Our jewellery is available in specified purity standards, with 22K gold representing 91.6% gold purity. The applicable purity and hallmark details are clearly communicated to customers at the time of purchase.
Stone Charges
For jewellery featuring precious, semi-precious or other stones, stone charges are calculated separately based on the type, quality, weight and value of the stones used. Our team provides clear details regarding stone weight and applicable charges, ensuring transparency in every transaction.
