The story of Thottumkal Jewellers began in the heart of Central Travancore, with a vision to make fine jewellery accessible to generations of families in and around Pala.
Our journey dates back to 1650, when the foundation of this enduring enterprise was laid in Pala. What began as a humble initiative gradually grew into a trusted name, deeply connected with the community and the traditions of the region.
In the early years, Pala emerged as an important commercial hub. Goods and precious articles reached the town through the Meenachil River, which served as a significant route for transportation and trade. From Pala, these goods were distributed to surrounding areas, establishing the town as a vital centre of commerce.
It was against this vibrant trading backdrop that Thottumkal Jewellers began its journey. In its early days, the business operated on a modest scale before establishing its first showroom at Thottumkal Peedika, located beside the Kurishupally. This marked an important milestone in our journey from a small traditional enterprise to an established jewellery destination.
As the years passed, the business continued to grow along with the town and its people. In 1978, Thottumkal Jewellers moved from its original premises to its present location on the Main Road in Pala, marking a new chapter in its history and expanding its presence in the region.
